Current Projects

Our current portfolio contains five major themes: Copper, Water, Legacy Reprocessing, Radiation and Sensors. These are essential areas of development to unlock the resources required for the future.

Copper
Copper is THE essential mineral for the energy transition. Nova Terra is deeply engaged with partners to develop solutions that will unlock sustainable copper. These include tailings reprocessing, by-product recovery, environmental remediation, designer mining, and community engagement.

Water
Water is crucial for the success of future mining operations, and our projects will produce new pathways for water treatment, recovery of valuable materials during remediation, and securing supply for regional communities.

Legacy Reprocessing
Future critical mineral supply will require new technologies for efficient recovery from a range of fresh and legacy deposits. Our projects are developing both hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical techniques for recovery of valuable materials from traditional waste streams.

Radiation
Naturally occurring radioactive minerals (NORM) are present in many of the mineral systems that host critical minerals. Our development programs are mapping new commercial pathways for the remediation and value-generation of legacy contaminated mine sites as well as the treatment of NORM present in future deposits.

Sensors
Real-time understanding of what is being mined and processed is necessary to achieve the necessary efficiency for future operations. We are developing both remote and in-pit sensor technologies to enable rapid exploration and real-time grade control.
